As technology progresses in the area of all-electric vehicles, some of our favorite trucks will soon be seeing EV options available in the next few years. According to the powers that be at FIAT Chrysler, this includes the popular Ram lineup of trucks. This comes as welcome news to loyal Ram customers from Quakertown to Lansdale, as they will soon have an option to pass the pump and rely on more sustainable fuel sources to power their travels around the Philadelphia area.

We don't yet have any details on what to expect or when an electric Ram will be available, but it seems likely that an all-electric variant of the Ram 1500 could be available to Collegeville area consumers within just a couple of years.

What Is Ram Focused On In The Meantime?

While the electric technology continues to develop, Ram is leaning into its high-performance gas engines. The 2021 Ram TRX truck, for instance, is turning heads, thanks to its sleek body and Hellcat-powered 702-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine. With an eight-speed automatic transmission, the car boasts a 650 pound-feet of torque pushed to all wheels.

In addition, the new truck moves from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. What’s more? It completes a quarter-mile at 108 MPH in only 13 seconds.

All-Terrain Capabilities

The eagerly awaited TRX features a stylish interior combined with state-of-the-art technology. The wide-body and strengthened suspension, on the other hand, enhances its off-road capabilities. Also, the vast 35-inch all-terrain tires give the truck a ground clearance of 11.8 inches, giving it the ability to maneuver in more than two feet of water easily.
